Subject Liaisons

What do subject liaisons do?

  • Engagement: Engage with faculty and students in assigned areas in order to facilitate use of library collections and services, and to advocate for their information needs
  • Scholarly Communications: Keep current with general trends in scholarly communication, monitor subject-specific trends, and provide program-specific support for library initiatives such as sustainable publishing, open access, and open educational resources
  • Research Assistance: In conjunction with other library colleagues, provide in-depth research assistance, online guides, and/or library instruction in assigned areas
  • Information Resources: Develop and assess information resources that support research and teaching in assigned areas
