Technology Available in the Library
Wireless
Wireless internet is available in the library through the eduroam network. The ecu-wifi network is available for devices that aren’t supported by eduroam. These networks require a PirateID for access. If you do not have a PirateID, please visit our service desk for wireless access.

Printing
All document printing at Joyner Library is $0.02 per page for black & white, and $0.10 per page for color. ECU students are provided allowances each semester, but can add money to their accounts from their personal funds if needed. Full details can be found at ITCS’ website. Printing is only available in 8.5” X 11” size paper.

We now offer large-scale poster printing for ECU students, faculty, and staff.

Scanners
We have scanning kiosks near the Research service desk, in the Teaching Resources center, North Carolina Collection, and at the Music Library. KIC Scanners allow you to scan double-sided documents through the document feeder, or items on the flatbed scanner. Students can use the kiosk to save their scans on a USB drive, upload to the cloud (Google Docs, Dropbox, OneDrive), or send via Email, all at the push of a button. Large or over-sized items can be scanned using the larger KIC scanner in North Carolina Collections. Students may retrieve and print scans from any library workstation.
Copiers
There is a copier located on the 3rd Floor in the North Carolina Collection.
Fax
Faxes can be sent via scanners on the first floor in the Research & Instructional Services area and on the second floor in the Teaching Resources Center area. However, faxes cannot be received at this time.
Equipment Loan Program
We offer laptops, digital cameras, chargers, adapters, and so much more for loan.
Community Computer Access
Limited computer access is available to members of the community with a PC Reservation Pass or a Community Access Pass.
