Friends of Joyner Library Publishing and Writer’s Workshop

Are you thinking about bringing a book to publication? Do you have ideas, memoirs, family stories, theology, or novels/texts you want to see published?

This writer’s workshop can provide avenues and information to meet various goals! The purpose of the workshop is to show participants how to navigate the process and to provide options for ways to publish that match diverse needs and interests. Participants will find networking opportunities, key information, meet publishers, and realize opportunities to navigate the publishing process from start to finish.

Cost is $50. Registration required and space is limited.

The workshop will be filled with helpful information, shared by experts in the field. Hear from experts sharing traditional and nontraditional paths to publication, with author experiences and advice. Artificial Intelligence (AI), and how to support publications creatively, will be discussed. Creativity in writing memoirs is a popular feature in this workshop, along with the use of materials in public domain and information about illustrations and use of free images and publication rights. There will be plenty of opportunities provided to network with authors, publishers, and literary professionals!
