Open access success grows with Wiley Journals

The number of open access publications in Wiley Journals by East Carolina University authors more than doubled from 2022 to 2023.

This rise of 27 articles in calendar year 2022 to 70 in 2023 was made possible thanks to a deal negotiated with Carolina Consortium. Now in the third year of this collaboration growing ECU scholarship made available worldwide at no cost to readers, ECU authors can continue this practice by publishing open access with Wiley Journals.

The Carolina Consortium deal offers first-come first-served access to a pool of open access article vouchers. Corresponding author must be a current ECU student, staff or faculty member. The number of vouchers is limited. There are 750 for all participating institutions, and they are likely to be all claimed by August or September 2024.
