Lego Challenge Series

Photos from Aug. 25 Lego Challenge in the library.

If visiting the main campus library Aug. 25, someone may have wondered why music was emanating from one of the library’s reservable classrooms. If following the curious mix of childlike techno music, a discovery would have happened to the first of the library’s new event series, Lego Challenge.

Students, faculty, staff and friends are welcome at every Lego Challenge, and that eclectic mix was reflected around the room. Chattering participants freely moved about, digging through boxes filled with Legos in search of the perfect piece, quietly building on their own or chatting with library staff in an informal setting.

Interested in attending? Each Lego Challenge will have a theme, but free building is welcome! Challenges run from noon-4:00 p.m., which allows students to drop in before, after or between classes. A library staff member is also on hand to offer help with library resources.

Lego builds from the library’s first challenge are currently on display across from the Magnet Wall on the first floor of the main campus library and will continue to be on display until the next Challenge on Friday, Sept. 29.
