Blog series featuring Schlobin selections
A special blog series project by Academic Library Services manuscripts curator Patrick Cash will dive into the many layers of the James H. and Virginia Schlobin Literature of the Fantastic Collection.
Cash’s first blog, focused on the first title in author John Kendrick Bangs’ Associated Shades series, has been posted and is available here. It notes that the the James H. and Virginia Schlobin Literature of the Fantastic Collection was established in 2004 by East Carolina University English professor Roger C. Schlobin.
This collection now consists of more than 3,700 individual books, mostly primary literature in the form of novels. There also are collected short narratives with some additional secondary literature and scholarly criticism related to the various genres represented.
