Exhibit highlights student artworks

The Janice Hardison Faulkner Gallery on the second floor of the main campus library is filled with unique work by graduate students from the ECU School of Art and Design.

A canvas by Loraine Scalamoni is featured on a wall in the Janice Hardison Faulkner Gallery.

The 18 participating artists for the 15th annual School of Art and Design Graduate Student Art Exhibition are: Sina Bennett, Emily Booker, Tamia Boone, Parker Estes, Michael Gaines, Kidd Graves, Nick Hesson, Joogab Kim, Haley McElroy, Anthony Naimo, Thaddeus Prevette, Loraine Scalamoni, Chase Shotton, Haleigh Stanley, Katelyn Stanley, Lindsay Swan, Lee Turner, Morgan Zichettella.

Pieces include ceramics, photography, canvas, spray foam, light box, various prints and more! Stop by the gallery to check out this exhibit and artist statements.

A reception and awards ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. in the Faulkner Gallery. This year’s exhibition is juried by Jordan Krutsch, art instructor at Pitt Community College.

 

 

Annual awards include:

  • Friends of Joyner Library Purchase Award: up to $1,000
  • College of Fine Arts and Communication Dean’s Merit Award: $500
  • School of Art and Design Director’s Award: $350
  • School of Art and Design Award: $250
  • Dowdy Student Store Award: $50 gift certificate
