Revisiting the Sycamore Hill Community

Part of October in the Janice Hardison Faulkner Gallery, located on the second floor of the main campus library, is devoted to displaying pieces from the “Beyond Bricks and Mortar: Revisiting the Sycamore Hill Community” photography project.

“Beyond Bricks and Mortar: Revisiting the Sycamore Hill Community” shares a missing piece in the history of the displaced community, illustrating that a community is much more than the bricks and mortar used to construct its homes. Photographs show how the ties that bind are found in human connections.

The exhibit opened initially in 2017. Read more about it here.

Later in October, look for “Crossroads: Change in Rural America” coming to the Faulkner Gallery.
