A morning with Lifelong Learning

Interactions, presentations and tours were highlights during the morning of Feb. 2 with members of the Lifelong Learning Program on main campus eager to learn more about ECU Libraries.

Academic Library Services employees Heather White and Jennifer Daugherty led presentations. Fellow ALS employees Charlotte Fitz Daniels and Ronnie Woodward assisted in tours and informational sessions.

Lifelong Learning members voiced “This is really cool,” and “I’m amazed by all the technology,” after watching presentations. White focused on open access publishing, study spaces and ECU Libraries initiatives at Joyner, Laupus and the Music Library. Daugherty provided tips about how to search the library catalog and various collections, including sharing her knowledge on local history, genealogy and our North Carolina collection.

The visitors also toured the N.C. Collection, learned about and saw the Teaching Resources Center and spent time in the Janice Hardison Faulkner Gallery currently displaying the 14th annual School of Art and Design Graduate Student Art Exhibition.
