NCPC Grant to Digitize Campus Radio Station Recordings
This spring the University History and Records and Digital Collections departments were able to digitize 24 audio reels that are part of the Records of the School of Communication in University Archives. The audio recordings, which are from East Carolina’s original campus radio station, contain campus news programs and campus events like commencements, building dedications, and invited speakers. They provide valuable insights into campus life, and all are now freely available online in Digital Collections. We would like to thank the North Carolina Preservation Consortium for providing some of the funding through a preservation grant.
