Staff Pick: Dennis and Terrence Miller Papers

Staff Person: Nanette Hardison

Collection: Dennis and Terrence Miller Papers, Manuscript Collection #1296

November 11 is Veterans Day and every year the staff of Special Collections acknowledges the service and sacrifice of the people who served in our armed forces. This year we would like to take the chance to highlight Dennis and Terrence Miller and acknowledge their service to our country.

The Dennis and Terrence Miller Papers consist of letters (1964-1967) written by Terrence and Dennis Miller of St. Louis Missouri. The Miller brothers joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War and their writings document their time of service. This collection also contains correspondence by fellow soldiers and friends as well as Dennis Miller’s service records. These documents, which are seen below, include an Order to Report for Armed Forces Physical Examination dated May 18, 1965, as well as Miller’s Statement of Acceptability, dated June 3, 1965.

Please join us in honoring Dennis and Terrence Miller, along with all those who have served and sacrificed for our nation.
