As the weather turns colder and the days grow shorter, the staff of Special Collections wanted to provide everyone a treat this Halloween by offering up an assortment of collections and resources related to All Hallows Eve.

The Karen Baldwin Folklore Archive found in the East Carolina Manuscripts Collections contains many a blood-curdling tale recorded by students in their coursework for the Folklore Course taught in the English Department. Listen to our very own North Carolina Collections Librarian, Jennifer Daugherty, talk about the collection and the terrifying story of the Maco light, as taken from the Archive here.
