Join Us in Celebrating Archives Month!
October is Archives Month! This year, the Society of North Carolina Archivists has chosen the theme, “20th Century Health and Medicine.” We invite you to check out Laupus Library’s blog post highlighting parts of their collection that are especially relevant to this theme.
You can join us in celebrating Archives Month by visiting the digital gallery of images submitted from archives across the state and viewing the images pinned to HistoryPin. These resources were created by the Society of North Carolina Archivists Archives Month Committee.
Also, on Wednesday, October 21st from 12-1 pm, Laupus Library’s Archivist Layne Carpenter will present a virtual talk entitled “Eastern North Carolina and the 1918 Influenza Epidemic.” This event is free and open to the public. For those interested, please make sure you register via Zoom.
