New Hours

We’re glad to be reopening our doors on August 10th! While we’re excited to have students and faculty back, things will definitely look a little different on campus and in the library. Our Reference Desk hours will be 1pm-5pm, Monday-Friday, and will be closed on the weekends. The North Carolina Collections Stacks will still be open for use from 9-5pm, as well as the tables for studying.

We have socially distanced seating by removing furniture throughout the library. In the NC Collection, chairs will be spaced out and marked as unusable, along with some of the computer stations. You’ll notice we’ve added plexiglass panels at the desk for our safety and yours. Due to the small size of the Research Room for Special Collections, we are limiting it to appointment only. There will only be two researchers allowed at a time from Monday-Friday 1-5. It will be closed on Saturday. Book your appointment here.

For now, only ECU students, faculty, and staff with an ECU 1Card or a current Distance Education Student card will be allowed in the library. This means that our research collections remain closed to the public. We are still offering virtual assistance and welcome you to send inquiries to specialcollections@ecu.edu More information about the library’s reopening plan can be found here.
