Description:
This is inside the Parker Store in Menola, NC. If you notice, there are 2 old phonograph players and one says Edison Standard Phonograph, and the other says, Edison Home Phonograph. There is also a Mandolin hanging on the back wall. I thought that the old Victrolas were interesting. I don’t remember every having used one, but since Vinyl records are a thing of the past I thought that it would be nice for some of us to take a stroll down memory lane, I am pretty sure that most of our grandparents had them years ago. There is also an old camera sitting on a small table just below the flags that are hanging on the wall.

Things have changed so much in the last 50-75 years. This photograph is one of over 1800 that you will find in this portion of the collection. There are numerous photographs of items like this as well as people and buildings. This is one of my favorites.

I hope you all will enjoy this and come up to Special Collections and take a look at this wonderful collection of old memories.
