Where to get help with Citing Sources
You will need to properly credit the sources from which you got your information.
When taking notes, be sure to record the following so you can tell others where you gathered your facts:
Title(s)
Author(s)
Publisher
Location of publisher
Date of publication
Page number(s) from which you took each cited piece of information
If possible, photocopy/scan the title pages of books and periodicals, and print or save web site pages that contain citation information. This is a fast and accurate way to record this crucial data. Some types of materials (e.g., electronic resources and music scores) require special citation formats.
