Library helps with Article Processing Charges
This is a reminder about Academic Library Services’ Open Access Publishing Support Fund, which helps cover Article Processing Charges (APCs) for open access publications. This fund supports our commitment to expanding access to scholarly research and increasing the visibility of faculty work. However, be aware that the fund is currently available to authors affiliated with main campus; the Health Sciences fund is on hold for the fall semester.
Key requirements and deadlines:
- Reimbursement only: The fund operates as a reimbursement. You must submit an application with a paid receipt or invoice confirming the charges have already been paid.
- Funding limit: Support is an estimated amount of up to $1,000 per publication.
- Eligible journals: Journals must be quality peer reviewed journals that are not already covered or discounted by an existing ECU® agreement. See the Sustainable Scholarship webpage for details on existing agreements.
- Deadlines: The two annual deadlines are November 14 (fall) and April 10 (spring).
